Engineered for real autonomy
100% Solar-electric propulsion. Designed for continuous, reliable use at sea. Quiet in operation. Reduced fuel dependency. Built for independence on the water.
The Yacht
One integrated concept
The PY60 is designed for owners who value control, clarity, quality and long-term sustainability. It is built around use, not additional features. Every element follows one principle: reliable operation with minimal complexity. The result is a yacht that remains intuitive, is easy to operate and consistent in its performance.
Control defines
comfort.
System & Technology
Our fully integrated solar-electric platform is built around one clear system architecture.
The 48-volt electrical backbone enables efficient operation without the complexity of high voltage systems. It supports continuous cruising, silent propulsion and stable performance. All components are connected and work as one system. Energy flows remain transparent and predictable. Every function is monitored. Every decision is measureable. Autonomy only matters when it is reliable.

Performance figures are based on empirical and average values, which may vary depending on the number of hours of sunshine, speed, wind conditions and the direction of the current.
The experience becomes yours
When everything works as intended, time on the water changes. Movement becomes silent. Operation becomes simple. The focus returns to the sea.
Design & Efficiency
Efficiency defines the architecture
Hull geometry, proportions and weight distribution are developed to support solar-electric propulsion. The result is a reduced resistance, lower energy consumption and stable performance. Design and engineering are developed together. Not separately. Efficiency and quality are designed into every part of the yacht.
Effortless at sea.
In every condition.
Space & Life
On Board
Defined Space. Intelligent Comfort.
Around 250 square meters across three levels create privacy, calm and flow. Interieur and exterieur connect into one continuous living space. Designed for use. Not for display. Comfort is not decoration. It is reduced noise and effortless operation. Confident at sea. Designed for life on board.
Built with discipline
Developed and engineered in Germany
Reduced complexity. Precise execution. Measured performance. A modular system architecture simplifies the overall design. Integrated monitoring provides full visibility of system performance and energy flows.
Reliability is not assumed.
It is built into the system.

Team & Attitude
Substance before spectacle
Pioneer Yachts was founded by engineers and entrepreneurs with operational backgrounds. We build what we present. No render concepts. Real systems. Our approach is deliberate. Focused on clarity, control and long-term performance. We don’t promise disruption. We engineer reliability. The team brings together 275 years of experience in yacht building, representing a powerful concentration of industry expertise.

Some companies begin with a market opportunity. Pioneer Yachts began with a gap. The solar-electric yacht Mike Frank wanted to own did not exist. A system designed for continuous, reliable use at sea.
So we build it.
read more …More than twenty years ago, the Bremen-born engineer founded the meistro Group, an early provider of direct CO₂-free energy from proprietary photovoltaic parks. Today, the company operates at scale within Germany’s energy transition landscape.
Frank remains majority shareholder, having transitioned operational leadership to a management team.
With Pioneer Yachts, he applies the same principle to the maritime sector: Clear system architecture, measurable performance and continuous, refinement through use.
As the son of a commercial shipping captain, the sea was never a lifestyle backdrop. It was a working environment defined by responsibility, navigation and technical discipline.
The first PY60 is founder-operated and serves as the reference platform. All systems are monitored under real conditions. Operational data informs further development. Subsequent units evolve from measured experience.
Pioneer Yachts is not a diversification project. It is the continuation of a consistent approach: building systems that function independently, operate efficiently and remain technically accountable over time.
The objective is simple – to develop a solar-electric yacht that performs reliably in practice.
